Regarding the acquisition of Tarik Skubal, Rojas said he learned of the trade through teammates checking social media after the game, adding that the timing felt difficult emotionally given a recent series loss, but that the news was not entirely surprising given his trust in the front office's ability to put the team in position to win. He said the impact would likely feel more real once Skubal is seen in the clubhouse and pitching, and noted he had already heard positive accounts of his character from teammates who played with him previously. Rojas also pointed to the depth of the pitching group, mentioning the returns of players from injury and the strong performance of others, while saying the team simply tries to stay focused on its own goals moving forward.
