"I didn't hit my head, so that was the key part there. Um, I am sore," Freeman said. He explained how the fall happened, noting he expected a rail to be there to catch himself. "I went to lean like I was going to lean against the rail to catch the ball and obviously there was no rail," he said.

Freeman described soreness in multiple areas of his body after the play. "Kneecaps are sore, shoulder sore, hands sore, wrist sore," he noted, adding that he had done recovery treatment in an effort to be ready to play the following day.

Freeman recalled a similar incident from about 10 to 11 years earlier in Arizona while playing for the Atlanta Braves, when he fell roughly 10 feet. "I actually in Arizona when I was with the Braves, I had to be maybe 10, 11 years ago before the Nets went up and uh so I went over I actually went down probably like 10 ft," he said. After the recent fall, he got up quickly out of concern about lying awkwardly while waiting for trainers, landing on a second staircase that he believes helped protect his head. "I think that's what kind of saved me cuz I landed on that and that's what gave leeway for my head," he explained. Freeman said he consulted with Doc, Andrew and Goomer following the fall, and mentioned that Thomas had asked whether he needed an X-ray, which he declined. "Do you want to do a whole body X-ray? And they're like, We can. I said, No, I'm okay," he stated.

Freeman also praised the team's performance in the game, including the pitcher's start and teammates stepping up, calling it a big sweep. "Just a great sweep when we needed it the most," he said. He added that the pitcher, Low, had given the team a chance to win in every start except one against the Kansas City Royals. He also mentioned that Hunter had been calling a great game with Ben.

Freeman said he already had a planned day off coming up and would evaluate how he feels before deciding on playing. "I was already I think going to have Friday off, so we'll just see how this um we'll see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow," he said.
