Roki Sasaki reflected on his recent outings, saying that his pitching has reached a point of greater technical stability. He noted that his delivery is far less prone to breaking down than before, which he credited to steady mechanical work over time.
He explained that this improved consistency has allowed him to execute pitches closer to what is being asked of him, giving him a stronger sense of control over his outings compared to earlier in the season.
Discussing his approach against aggressive lineups, Sasaki said he has been careful not to simply try to get quick outs early in counts. Instead, he emphasized staying locked in on his first pitch of each at-bat so as not to fall behind in the count.
When asked about a recent move that involved some organizational discussion, Sasaki said the team had offered him advice on how to handle the situation, and that he followed their guidance accordingly.
Looking back on his form since the All-Star break, Sasaki said he has felt a growing sense of confidence, largely because he has been able to respond to his catcher's requests as intended. He added that focusing purely on his pitching, rather than on results at the plate, has had a positive effect on his outings overall.
