Blake Snell discussed his improved health as a Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher on September 4, 2026.

Snell said his curveball improved the most after the elbow procedure. "The curveball, I mean, it's the first time I threw the curveball, I said I was 10 times better," he said, adding that elbow bone spurs had prevented him from getting out in front of the pitch because of pain. The procedure enabled him to throw the curveball better.

Snell noted that his shoulder is stronger and is helping him throw harder later in games. "My shoulder's way stronger now, too," he stated. He also said he is pitching well immediately after returning but believes he can still improve substantially: "I just know I could be way better."

Snell described his last two years as extremely tough and said being healthy is what probably makes him happiest. "I'm healthy and that's been... what probably makes me the happiest," he said.

With the season wrapping up, Snell wants to use his remaining time to prove to himself how good he can be and maximize his ability. "I just want to max maximize that," he added.
