“we want three more celebrations and keep blowing it out,” Friedman said. The Dodgers' president of baseball operations also noted, “we've definitely had our challenges throughout the year,” while expressing encouragement about how the talented team is coming together for October.

Friedman described the division title as an organizational accomplishment involving free agents, draft picks and many departments, stating, “So many different departments in our group have their fingerprints all over it.”

He explained the organization's philosophy by saying, “for us, relationships are everything,” with relationships built through honesty and respect. Friedman leads the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Dodgers players and bullpen members drenched him with beer during the division-clinching celebration; the episode was reflected in the remark, “You have gotten demolished as much as anybody.”

Friedman added that the division championship was more meaningful to him than his first Dodgers division championship because relationships formed each year grow stronger and deeper: “it's even more meaningful because I think the relationships that are formed every year just get stronger and deeper.” The Dodgers' stated outlook is to pursue three more celebrations while continuing to win.
