Tarik Skubal said on September 19, 2026, that the Dodgers’ offense, defense and bullpen helped secure the win after he struggled with fastball command.
“Obviously, I wasn't very good today,” Skubal said, evaluating his outing and his fastball command. He added that he handles frustration by “getting that stuff out and kind of just moving on from the moment.”
Skubal stated that “that's what good teams do,” describing how strong teams support one another and win games and series together. He noted that the Dodgers’ offense is receiving competitive at-bats from many hitters: “everybody's taking really competitive at bats.”
Skubal said the Dodgers’ offense, defense and bullpen “pick me up big time.” He also said the Dodgers scored 10 runs, describing it as “your offense put up a 10 spot.”
Skubal said this was “probably your last start at Dodger Stadium before the postseason” and expressed excitement about playing home games and home playoff games in front of Dodgers fans. He also tried Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s javelin-throwing routine and described his view of Yamamoto’s process, saying, “it's not for me. It's for him.”
