Roki Sasaki returned to a relief role for the Los Angeles Dodgers on September 22, 2026.
Sasaki said he was asked to pitch approximately two innings but completed only one because his pitch count rose. He noted that he had performed the same relief role the previous year and adapted well.
He stated that he will probably participate in a few more games and make the necessary adjustments. Sasaki added that he will make the most of every opportunity and focus on performing his role regardless of the location.
Sasaki reported that his fingers were in good condition and said he used Dermabond while pitching. In a light remark, he said he needed to go home, go to the store, and obtain a larger house.
Sasaki plans to appear in a few more games and make adjustments for those future opportunities.
