Freddie Freeman accepted the 2026 Los Angeles Good Guy Award from the Los Angeles BBWAA chapter on September 22, 2026.
The award presenter said Freeman’s availability, accountability and character were appreciated by the media, describing the honor as “a reflection of how much we all appreciate your availability, accountability.”
Freeman said he tries to be prepared and speak with reporters as much as possible: “Some of us try to be as ready as possible and talk to you guys as much as we can.” He also noted, “I know you guys do a great job covering us,” and said he appreciated the Los Angeles BBWAA chapter.
Freeman stated that he won the 2026 Good Guy Award and joked about where he would place it, saying, “I'll put it next to my MVP World Series.”
Freeman added that the award would be included with the medals hanging from his son’s arm: “So, we'll add this one to it.”
