Will Smith said on September 23, 2026, that the Los Angeles Dodgers are focused on winning games one at a time while pursuing another World Series title.
Smith said he is concentrating on swinging at the right pitches, taking the right pitches and moving the ball when appropriate.
He stated that the Dodgers are approaching the series by trying to win each game rather than changing their approach because the opponent could appear in the postseason. “We're still approaching it, trying to win ball games,” Smith said.
Smith noted that the Dodgers had not clinched a postseason bye and were still trying to secure it. “I don't think we've clinched the buy yet,” he said.
The Dodgers believe in each other every day as they pursue the goal of winning the World Series again, Smith added. He acknowledged that “we're not going to win every game,” while maintaining the team's belief in the group.
