“I'm ready to pitch every day,” Díaz said. He added that he plans to finish the season strongly and produce a full season: “Just got to finish the season strong and have a good season a full season.”

Díaz evaluated his outing by saying, “the slider was really good.” He also explained that his long experience in the major leagues helped him maintain his mindset and make adjustments during his struggles: “that time in the league helped me a lot.”

Díaz noted that he had been working in Triple-A before returning and felt his pitches had come back into shape. “I was feeling good in my last out in AAA,” he said, and he described throwing a strong bullpen session there before asking to pitch again the next day: “I threw a nice bullpin in TripleA and the next day I told them I want to pitch today.” Díaz also acknowledged, “I've been in the league for so so long and I know how to make adjustment.”

His approach is to throw strikes first and then try to make hitters chase. “If I throw strike, my pitcher will play up,” Díaz stated. Asked whether he trusted himself, he answered, “100%. Always.” He plans to finish the season strongly while showing the Dodgers that he is prepared to pitch every day for the postseason.
