Mookie Betts Calls for Improvement as Dodgers Offense

Mookie Betts said on October 5, 2026, that the Los Angeles Dodgers need to improve offensively and capitalize on their opportunities.

“We need to get going offensively,” Betts said. He added, “We just got to keep giving ourselves moments and eventually something will happen.”

Betts acknowledged that the Dodgers had created chances but failed to convert them, saying, “We just didn't come through.” He also stated, “Nobody expected us to go 11 and 0.”

Chris Sale received credit from Betts for his performance against the Dodgers. “He picked up the braves. That was a huge job by him,” Betts said, adding, “So you got to tip your cap.”

Betts outlined the Dodgers' immediate approach: “You just got to be in the moment and come through.”
