Miguel Rojas provided an injury update on October 7, 2026, saying lower-back and hip tightness worsened during an at-bat after a slide at second base.
Rojas said the tightness began after the play at second base and involved his hip and lower back, adding that he "when I took the swing kind of like tweak it a little more." He described the area as "It's just like lower back kind of like hip area" rather than his side.
Rojas planned to undergo treatment before evaluating his condition, saying he would "do a couple rounds of treatment today and then see how I wake up tomorrow." He added that he was "I'm looking forward to to be ready to go tomorrow if they need me" after rest and medication.
Rojas said he continued batting despite the tightness because "I felt like I was the right guy to take that at bat" against a pitcher. He also said the playing surface affected the circumstances, noting that "they had a new grass in the middle of the year," and praised his teammates because "the guys were willing to kind of sacrifice anything."
Rojas expressed pride in being part of what he called "it was one of the best games that I ever been a part of." His next step was to receive treatment and then determine whether he could be ready to play if the Los Angeles Dodgers needed him.
