Max Muncy said on October 13, 2026, that the Los Angeles Dodgers can still win three or four consecutive games and remain confident despite being behind in the series.
Muncy said he continues to believe in the Dodgers, stating, "I'm still going to bet on us for sure." He also described the opposing bullpen as exceptionally difficult, saying, "they're all throwing 100 plus and they all have really nasty stuff."
The Dodgers' plan, according to Muncy, is to build an early lead and keep the opposing relievers out of the game: "get a lead and keep them out of the game." He added that the team must continue working through its circumstances because "you just you got to keep grinding it out and you know, things are going to turn."
Muncy credited the opponent with executing pitches and producing timely hits, saying, "They're executing their pitches. They're getting base hits when they need to." He also stated that the opposing relievers are all throwing over 100 mph and said of Yoshinobu Yamamoto, "next time out he's going to dominate it."
The immediate objective is for the Los Angeles Dodgers to win several games and give Yoshinobu Yamamoto another opportunity, which Muncy described as the team's job. He urged Los Angeles Dodgers fans to attend games and create a loud atmosphere, saying, "I need them to show up. Need them to be loud."
