Freddie Freeman said on October 15, 2026, that the Los Angeles Dodgers will focus on winning the current game rather than thinking about the need to win four straight.

“All we have to do is win today and force it tomorrow,” Freeman said during a press conference. He explained the plan further: “If you win today, then we worry about tomorrow.”

Freeman credited the Milwaukee Brewers for playing sound baseball on both sides of the ball during the first three games, saying, “The Brewers are playing really good right now.” He also credited Joey Ortiz, who he said was great at third, and Cooper Pratt, whom he described as playing amazingly as a rookie.

On offense, Freeman stated, “Baseball's random,” and said hitters must find a pitch to hit and hope the ball lands safely. He pointed to improved at-bats against Ureña as a positive sign, saying, “We showed some life against Urebe.” Freeman also said the Dodgers had not hit a home run in what he thought was two or three games, and that his last at-bat produced a 105 mph line drive that was caught.

Freeman acknowledged that the Dodgers were down three games to none, but said, “There's no panic around here.” He added that the group has been through a lot and traveled extensively together, while the players and coaching staff maintain their daily work and early preparation as “a collective effort.”

Freeman said the Dodgers still want the run to continue and are trying to accomplish something that has not been done in 25 years. He works with Dino, while Chris Woodward works with Freeman; Freeman also said he regularly compliments opponents, including Cooper Pratt, explaining, “I can say nice job and still want to beat you.”
