Milwaukee traded home runs with Pittsburgh through three innings before pulling away for good. The Brewers beat the Pirates 4-2 at American Family Field, turning a tied game into a lead they would not surrender once Andrew Vaughn went deep in the fourth.

Logan Henderson carried the pitching load for Milwaukee, working 6.0 innings and allowing 2 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits while striking out 8. He walked just one batter across 83 pitches and improved to 6-1 on the season, with a 2.70 ERA. Trevor Megill closed it out with a scoreless inning for his 19th save.
Milwaukee's offense answered every Pittsburgh punch. Ja. Gonzalez homered to right center in the third to put the Pirates up 1-0, but Jackson Chourio answered immediately with a homer to right center to tie it. The go-ahead blow came in the fourth, when Vaughn homered to center for a 417-foot shot that put Milwaukee in front 2-1 for good. Chourio added an RBI single later that inning to score Pratt, and in the fifth, Lara's single to left brought home Contreras with Vaughn advancing to second. Rodríguez had answered for Pittsburgh with a solo homer to right earlier in the fifth, but the Pirates could not draw closer.
Jared Jones took the loss for Pittsburgh, allowing 3 runs (3 earned) on 8 hits over 4.0 innings with 4 strikeouts and a walk, falling to 2-3 with a 4.02 ERA. The Pirates' bullpen held up better, combining for 1 run (1 earned) over 4.0 innings, but the early damage against Jones proved too much to overcome.
Chourio finished 3-for-4 with a homer and 2 RBI, while Vaughn went 1-for-3 with a walk, a homer and an RBI. The win pushed Milwaukee to 70-43 and first in its division, snapping nothing but continuing momentum with a first straight win. Pittsburgh fell to 57-58.
