Perez worked six scoreless innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out two on 82 pitches. He left with a 0-0 game turned in his favor, and Atlanta's bullpen took it from there, covering three innings without allowing a run. Perez improved to 8-6 with a 2.96 ERA, sitting one shy of the 100-win career mark he's chasing.

Nolan McLean matched Perez pitch for pitch for most of the night, allowing just one run on one hit over six innings with three strikeouts, but he took the loss after New York's bullpen unraveled. The Mets' relievers combined for three runs over two innings, undoing McLean's outing and leaving New York without an answer against Atlanta's pitching staff, which finished the game having allowed nothing.

The win, Atlanta's first of a new streak after snapping their prior run, pushed the Braves to 72-48 and kept them atop their division. New York fell to 53-68, losing its first game after a win and sitting fifth in its division. Olson finished 1-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs, while Albies added a homer and an RBI of his own in a night where the Braves' power carried a game their pitching staff had already put out of reach.
