Milwaukee did its damage in two swings. Joey Ortiz and William Contreras both connected for two-run home runs, and that was enough support for Jacob Misiorowski, who kept the Dodgers off balance for six innings in a 4-1 Brewers win at Dodger Stadium.

Misiorowski allowed just 1 run (1 earned) on 5 hits over 6.0 innings, walking one and striking out six on 98 pitches to improve to 12-5. Aaron Ashby closed it out with 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out two, for his first save of the season. Contreras led Milwaukee's offense, going 2-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBIs, and sits at 12 home runs and 61 RBIs on the season with a .257 average.
The Brewers broke it open with two runs in the second inning when Ortiz homered to left, scoring Contreras, a blast that put Milwaukee ahead for good. Los Angeles answered in the third when Shohei Ohtani tripled to right, driving in Alex Call to cut the deficit to 2-1. But Milwaukee pulled away again in the fourth, as Contreras homered to left center to bring home Jake Bauers and push the score to 4-1.
Justin Wrobleski took the loss for Los Angeles, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits over 6.0 innings with six strikeouts and a walk, falling to 11-5. The Dodgers' bullpen, anchored by Jonathan Hernandez's 3.0 scoreless innings with four strikeouts, kept the game from getting further out of hand, but the offense could not generate more than the run Ohtani drove in. Ohtani finished 1-for-4 with the RBI triple and two strikeouts. Alex Call went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Milwaukee improved to 76-48, sitting atop its division, and snapped in with a win after posting a 1-game winning streak. Los Angeles fell to 74-50 with the loss extending its skid to one game. Contreras, who finished with 97 career home runs, remains three shy of the 100 mark.
