This one refused to settle down. San Francisco and Colorado traded leads deep into the night before the Rockies finally pulled away, winning 13-7 at Oracle Park in a game that swung back and forth from the first inning to the seventh.

Adael Amador was at the center of it. In just one at-bat, he went 1-for-1 with a home run, three RBIs and two walks, scoring three runs himself. His two-run homer to right field in the second inning erased an early deficit and put Colorado in front for the first time, part of a four-run second inning that kept the game shifting. He was named the game's MVP for the performance.
The Rockies' decisive break came in the sixth. After Veen scored on a wild pitch by Brubaker to tie it at 7-7, Carrigg was hit by a pitch to bring home Beck and put Colorado back in front, a play the data marks as the go-ahead moment of the game. Colorado didn't stop there — Moniak followed with a single that scored Amador and McCarthy on an error by left fielder Hill, pushing the score to 10-7. Brett Sullivan added a three-run homer to right in the seventh, scoring Norby and Beck, to extend the margin to 13-7. Sullivan finished 1-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
San Francisco's offense had its own moments. Devers went deep for three RBIs, including a three-run homer in the second inning that briefly put the Giants ahead. He finished 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and two runs scored. But the Giants' pitching couldn't hold. Starter Blade Tidwell allowed 6 runs over 4.1 innings, and reliever Sam Hentges took the loss after allowing 2 runs (2 earned) in 1.1 innings, falling to 1-5 on the season with a 3.07 ERA. Colorado's bullpen, by contrast, covered 5.0 innings without allowing a run. Nick Frasso earned his first win of the season, allowing no runs across 1.0 inning with 2 strikeouts.
The result dropped San Francisco to 51-73, extending a rough stretch as their streak fell to L1. Colorado improved to 50-74, snapping a slide with the win to move to W1.
