Milwaukee’s early burst provided the foundation, and the Brewers held on against a late Texas rally for the win at American Family Field. Jackson Chourio’s opening-inning homer gave Milwaukee the lead it never relinquished.

Chourio and William Contreras supplied the early power. Contreras added another key contribution later, while Luis Lara’s timely hitting helped keep the Brewers in control.
Chourio scored on his homer in the opening inning, and Contreras followed with a homer that extended Milwaukee’s lead. Lara brought Christian Yelich home with a single in the second. In the seventh, Lara’s single scored Contreras, and Cooper Pratt’s sacrifice fly brought Garrett Mitchell across.
Texas answered with Cody Freeman’s homer in the fifth and Brandon Nimmo’s homer in the eighth, which also brought Corey Seager home. The Rangers’ late push narrowed the margin, but Milwaukee’s pitching held firm afterward. Shane Drohan earned the win, while Cal Quantrill took the loss and Trevor Megill recorded the save.
The Brewers extended their winning streak, while the Rangers’ losing streak continued. The game belonged to Milwaukee because of its early burst, but Texas made the finish uneasy.
