Crow-Armstrong carried the Cubs’ attack with power and extra-base production, while Bregman supplied impact throughout the middle of the order. Shota Imanaga steadied Chicago from the mound, working into the late innings with a sharp performance.

The Cubs struck first when Alex Bregman’s double brought Michael Busch home in the first. Crow-Armstrong then homered in the third, Bregman homered in the fourth, and the fifth featured Crow-Armstrong’s triple scoring Carson Kelly before Bregman’s triple brought Crow-Armstrong and Seiya Suzuki across. Crow-Armstrong added another homer in the seventh, and Michael Conforto’s single brought Tyrone Taylor home in the eighth.

Atlanta found limited openings against Imanaga, with Matt Olson’s groundout bringing Ronald Acuña Jr. home in the sixth and Austin Riley’s groundout scoring Mauricio Dubón in the seventh. The Braves added late runs when Dubón’s double scored Ozzie Albies and Sean Murphy’s groundout brought Michael Harris II home, but the deficit remained out of reach.

Chicago’s early burst gave its pitching room to work and extended the Cubs’ winning streak, while Atlanta’s losing streak continued.
