Acuña carried Atlanta’s offense with a grand slam that erased Houston’s advantage and put the Braves in front. Mike Yastrzemski added a home run in the eighth to extend the lead.

Houston had built its advantage through Isaac Paredes, who homered in the first and brought Jeremy Peña home with a single in the third. Matt Olson’s single brought Drake Baldwin across in the sixth, but Acuña’s grand slam, which scored Mike Yastrzemski, Austin Riley and Sean Murphy, was the go-ahead play.

Grant Holmes kept Atlanta close through his start, while Victor Mederos and Raisel Iglesias followed with scoreless relief. Houston’s offense answered with Yainer Diaz’s double, which brought Paredes home in the eighth, but the Braves bullpen protected the lead.

Atlanta extended its winning streak, while Houston’s late-swing loss extended its losing streak.
