Mike Soroka anchored Arizona with a sharp outing, limiting Colorado to one earned run while striking out nine across seven innings. The performance kept the Rockies from turning their opportunities into a sustained rally.

Moreno's double started the scoring, and Geraldo Perdomo followed with a single that brought Moreno home. Corbin Carroll's double then sent Perdomo across. Tim Tawa added a ground-rule double in the third, and later contributed a sacrifice fly that brought Jordan Lawlar home. Nolan Arenado added a home run in the seventh to extend the lead.

Colorado's offense briefly answered in the third, when Mickey Moniak homered and Connor Norby's sacrifice fly brought Troy Johnston home. But Kyle Freeland's start put the Rockies in a difficult position, and Arizona continued to add on against the pitching that followed.

Arizona extended its winning streak while Colorado's losing streak continued. The game belonged to the early burst, with Soroka making sure the Rockies never found a way back.
