Justin Wrobleski said starting for the Los Angeles Dodgers on September 16, 2026, the day the team clinched, was special.
“It was pretty cool,” Wrobleski said, adding that he will continue accepting assignments from the Dodgers wherever they need him.
Wrobleski noted that he tries to remain grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Dodgers, saying, “I just try to be grateful for it every day.” He described himself as “kind of the bridge from the bullpen dogs to the starting rotation” and said he is “just trying to do my job each time out and help the guys win.”
Wrobleski also compared the clinching-game start with starting a game for Dave Roberts’ milestone win, stating that it “same kind of felt the same as kind of being the guy for Doc’s thousandth win 2026.” The remarks identified Wrobleski as the starter for a Dodgers game and for Dave Roberts’ milestone win.
During the discussion of his role and accomplishments, the interviewer jokingly called Wrobleski “the shark in the clubhouse.” Wrobleski also credited Landon Knack, saying, “Knack locked it down. It was his game today.”
Wrobleski’s stated plan is to continue filling whatever role the Dodgers need, with the objective of doing his job in each outing and helping the team win.
