Philadelphia led for most of the night. Miami wouldn't accept it. Down 7-5 entering the bottom of the ninth, the Marlins scored three times to steal an 8-7 win at loanDepot park, the last of it coming on Griffin Conine's go-ahead single.

Conine went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored. His second-inning homer to right center put Miami ahead 2-3, part of a three-run frame that also included doubles and extra-base damage from Jakob Marsee and Otto Lopez. In the ninth, with the Marlins already having tied it, Conine delivered again, singling to right to bring home Heriberto Hernandez and put Miami in front for good.
The ninth inning turned the game. Heriberto Hernandez opened the frame with a two-run single to center that scored Otto Lopez and Marsee, tying it at 7-7. Conine followed with the go-ahead single, scoring Hernandez while Liam Hicks and Xavier Edwards moved into scoring position. Hernandez finished 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs, his first-inning solo shot to left having tied the opener at 2-2 after Bryce Harper's two-run homer had put Philadelphia up.
Philadelphia's bullpen faltered after a strong middle-innings surge. The Phillies had erased a 5-2 deficit with a four-run sixth, capped by Justin Crawford's single that plated two runs on Miami errors, and added another in the eighth on J.T. Realmuto's sacrifice fly. But closer Jhoan Duran was charged with the loss after recording just one out while allowing three runs. Starter Zack Wheeler lasted only three innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits. Miami starter Tyler Phillips worked 5.0 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts, and Calvin Faucher picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief.
Realmuto went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and sits at 292 career doubles, 8 shy of the 300 mark. The Marlins, who won their first game after a loss to move to 53-54, got the benefit of a wild finish. The Phillies, who dropped to 57-50, saw a late rally spoiled in the ninth.
