Bleday went 4-for-6 with a double, triple, and home run, driving in three runs. He opened the scoring in the first inning when his double to right field brought home Elly De La Cruz for a 1-0 lead. In the third, Bleday tripled to center, scoring Sal Stewart, then came home on Tyler Stephenson's sacrifice fly. Bleday added a solo home run in the sixth to extend the Reds' advantage to 8-2.
Cincinnati's offense was relentless. Elly De La Cruz went 4-for-6 with a home run and scored four runs. De La Cruz's solo shot in the fifth made it 7-1. The Reds scored three runs in the fourth inning alone, with Sal Stewart's single scoring Héctor Rodríguez, Stephenson's sacrifice fly bringing home De La Cruz, and Matt McLain's walk scoring Stewart. Matt McLain added a solo home run in the eighth, and Héctor Rodríguez hit his first career home run in the seventh.
Rhett Lowder earned the win for Cincinnati, allowing four runs on six hits over six innings. Mike Soroka took the loss for Arizona, giving up six runs on six hits in just 3.1 innings. Arizona's bullpen allowed five more runs over 5.2 innings. Nolan Arenado hit a solo home run for the Diamondbacks in the fourth, and Tim Tawa added a two-run shot in the sixth.
