Emmet Sheehan anchored Los Angeles with a sharp start, keeping Miami scoreless through the middle innings while the Dodgers built their advantage. Eury Perez also kept Miami within reach before the late rally.

The Dodgers first broke through in the fourth when Josue De Paula homered, bringing Will Smith and Kyle Tucker home. Miami answered in the eighth when Otto Lopez’s single scored Joe Mack and Esteury Ruiz. Mookie Betts then extended Los Angeles’ lead in the ninth by doubling home Alex Freeland.

Miami refused to let the game go. Javier Sanoja’s double scored Xavier Edwards and Jakob Marsee to tie the game, and Ramírez followed with a homer that also brought Sanoja home, giving the Marlins the lead.

Los Angeles’ bullpen could not protect the advantage, while Miami’s late relief work held the Dodgers scoreless after their ninth-inning run. The Marlins’ walk-off surge extended their winning streak and left the Dodgers searching for answers after a game they had controlled for most of the night.
