Brown was sharp for Houston, working five scoreless innings and striking out ten. The Astros received early offense from Jose Altuve, who homered in the fourth, but the lead did not hold.

Ozzie Albies scored on a single by Ozzie Albies in the sixth to tie the game. Mike Yastrzemski then homered, bringing Mauricio Dubón and Ozzie Albies home and giving Atlanta the lead it would not relinquish. Yainer Diaz homered in the eighth, but the Braves' pitching held on.

Houston's bullpen could not contain the sixth-inning surge. Bryan King was charged with the loss after Atlanta's rally, while Atlanta's relief corps protected the advantage. Victor Mederos earned the win, and Dylan Dodd recorded the save.

The Braves extended their winning streak, while the Astros' losing streak continued. The game belonged to Atlanta's one-inning burst, which turned a quiet pitching battle into a Braves victory.
