Gerardo Perdomo was the offensive centerpiece. He tripled to bring Gabriel Moreno home, later doubled to bring home Lars Nootbaar, Ketel Marte and Gabriel Moreno, and helped keep Arizona’s lineup moving throughout the game.

Lars Nootbaar homered in the opening inning, then Geraldo Perdomo’s triple brought Gabriel Moreno home before Corbin Carroll’s sacrifice fly brought Perdomo across. Jordan Lawlar homered in the second, and Nolan Arenado’s home run brought Perdomo home in the third. Perdomo’s double later brought Nootbaar, Marte and Moreno home, extending Arizona’s advantage.

Brandon Pfaadt earned the win after holding San Diego at bay deep into the game. Casey Mize took the loss after Arizona established its advantage during his outing. The Padres answered through Luis Campusano, Jake Cronenworth and Sung-Mun Song, but their offense never matched Arizona’s sustained pressure.

Arizona extended its winning streak, while San Diego’s losing streak continued. The game was shaped by an early burst that became a sustained Diamondbacks advantage.
