Bo Bichette is in the first season of a 3-year, $126 million contract with the New York Mets, signed in January 2026. The deal includes a $40 million signing bonus paid in March 2026, a base salary of $2 million, player options after 2027 and 2028 with a $5 million buyout, a full no-trade clause, and no deferred money. Bichette spent his entire career with the Blue Jays, hitting .311 with 18 home runs in 2025 before reaching free agency. The Mets secured him shortly after losing out on Kyle Tucker, outbidding the Phillies and Red Sox. Including the signing bonus, his scheduled cash for 2026 is $42 million.
