Tyler Holton is a left-handed relief pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, Holton attended Florida State University and was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the ninth round of the 2018 MLB Draft after undergoing Tommy John surgery earlier that year. He made his major league debut with Arizona in 2022 before joining Detroit. With the Tigers, Holton established himself as one of the American League's most reliable and versatile relievers, posting a 0.87 WHIP in 2023 and a 2.19 ERA with eight saves in 2024. He made a career-high 70 appearances in 2025 and pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in the postseason against Cleveland. Manager A.J. Hinch has deployed Holton in every inning from the first through the tenth, reflecting his role as Detroit's most flexible bullpen arm.
