Texas and Seattle traded the lead four times before the Rangers finally made one stick, holding on for a 5-4 win at Globe Life Field. Neither team led by more than two runs all night, and the outcome wasn't settled until the final out.

Jake Burger was at the center of it. He went 2-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBI, starting with a two-run shot in the fourth inning and finishing with the go-ahead single in the sixth. Wyatt Langford also went deep, a solo shot that opened the scoring in the first inning.
The lead changed hands throughout. Langford's homer in the first put Texas up 1-0, but Seattle answered in the second when We. Wilson singled home Naylor to tie it. Burger's two-run homer in the fourth, with Duran scoring ahead of him, put the Rangers back in front, only for Seattle to tie it again in the fifth on Canzone's two-run double that brought home Arozarena and Emerson. Texas took the lead for good in the sixth when Burger's single scored Nimmo, and Nicky Lopez added an insurance run with a sacrifice bunt that plated Carter. Seattle got one back in the ninth when Emerson scored on a wild pitch by Latz, but it wasn't enough.
Mariners starter Bryce Miller took the loss, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings with 1 walk and no strikeouts. Rangers starter MacKenzie Gore lasted 5.0 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts, and did not factor into the decision. Peyton Gray picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief, and Jacob Metz closed it out for his 20th save of the season.
The win pushed Texas to 52-51, extending its streak to two straight after Wednesday's win. Seattle fell to 51-53, losing its third in a row.
