Eovaldi went 7.0 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run (1 earned) while striking out 8 and walking 1. He improved to 10-8 on the season, carrying a 4.05 ERA. The bullpen backed him up with 2.0 scoreless innings to close it out. At the plate, Wyatt Langford went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI, and Joc Pederson added a 3-for-5 night with a double and a run scored.
Texas wasted no time. Ezequiel Duran tripled to right to bring home Langford in the first, giving the Rangers a lead they would never relinquish. The Rangers kept pushing in the second, as Langford's double scored Pederson and Duran's single brought home Langford, extending the margin to 5-0. Alejandro Osuna's seventh-inning double capped the scoring, driving in both Lopez and Carter.
Bryan Woo took the loss for Seattle, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits over 5.0 innings with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks, falling to 7-7 with a 4.37 ERA. The Mariners' only run came in the fifth when J.P. Crawford doubled to right to score Luke Raley, but it was little more than a footnote against a Texas offense that had already built a comfortable lead. Seattle's bullpen allowed 2 runs over 3.0 innings as the deficit only grew.
