Seattle built its winning margin before Milwaukee's lineup had settled in, then spent the rest of the night trying to survive it. The Mariners scored seven runs across the first two innings and needed every one of them, holding off a Brewers comeback for a 7-5 win at American Family Field.

Joey Ortiz was the one Brewer who kept pace all night, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. His two-run homer in the second inning cut into Seattle's early lead, and he added a run-scoring single and drove in another run via a fielder's choice later in the game as Milwaukee chipped away. Dominic Canzone answered for Seattle, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI while also scoring twice.
The Mariners put the game away early. Dominic Canzone's line-drive double to left field scored Brendan Donovan and Randy Arozarena in the first inning, a go-ahead blow that gave Seattle a lead it never lost. Taylor Ward followed with a run-scoring single to make it 4-0 before the inning ended. In the second, Julio Rodríguez added a run with a sacrifice fly and Josh Naylor's ground single scored two more, pushing the score to 7-0 before Milwaukee batted.
Dustin May took the loss for Milwaukee, allowing 7 runs on 7 hits over 2.0 innings. Logan Gilbert worked around the damage for Seattle, earning the win by allowing 3 runs on 4 hits over 5.0 innings with 5 strikeouts. DL Hall steadied things behind him with 3.0 scoreless innings in relief, and Milwaukee's bullpen overall covered 7.0 innings without allowing a run, but the deficit built in the first two innings proved too much to overcome. Andres Munoz closed it out with a scoreless ninth for the save.
Milwaukee's rally fell short despite runs in the second, sixth and eighth innings, including a two-run eighth that pulled the Brewers within two. The loss snapped Milwaukee's momentum as the Brewers fell to 78-49, while Seattle improved to 60-67.
