Betts homered in the opening inning, then added another homer later in the game. His production anchored a Dodgers offense that also received home runs from Max Muncy, Kyle Tucker and Will Smith.

The Giants answered Betts' early homer with Jung Hoo Lee's blast and moved in front when Jonah Cox's single brought Scott Bandura home. Teoscar Hernández's single brought Josue De Paula across to tie the game, and De Paula's double then scored Kyle Tucker to give Los Angeles the lead. The Dodgers extended it in the eighth, when Muncy, Tucker, Betts and Smith all homered, with Betts' shot also bringing De Paula home.

Tyler Glasnow held San Francisco to its early offense before the Dodgers' bullpen protected the lead. Jason Foley took the loss for the Giants.

The Dodgers extended their winning streak while the Giants' losing streak continued. The game stayed within reach until Los Angeles' late power surge changed its shape.
